Ms. Sherry M. Waters, a passionate child therapist who has years of experience in the field of mental health.

Meet Sherry M. Waters, MSW, LCSW, RPT
Meet Sherry M. Waters, MSW, LCSW, RPT
Sherry was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. She lives in Surf City with her daughter, fiance', three rescue cats, a rescued Chi mix named "Chipper", "Leo" the Collie, and Dachshund, "Riley."
She graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a BA in Psychology in 1995 and received her Master's Degree in Social Work from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina in 2001.
She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed by the State of North Carolina, and a Registered Play Therapist. She is also a member of the North Carolina Association of Play Therapists.
Sherry began her career in 1996 in community mental health. Over the past 25 years, she has worked in a variety of clinical and administrative settings.
Her love for children with special needs led her to pursue licensure as a Play Consultant with the PLAY Project, where she trained directly with Dr. Richard Solomon, the founder.
Sherry has been in private practice since 2012 under the business name of Play Solutions INC. She has worked with children 2-13 years of age who have experienced the following issues:
